Where did you purchase case #5?
Great rack, where can I get the grips of the mallets ?
9:40 - Are you really good at eating with chop sticks? Seriously though, this seems like a full body work out in spots. Outstanding!
What trap tables do you generally use? I love all your videos! Keep up the great work!
You're THE Percussionist with all.that work. Amazing multitasking and amazing job.
incredible. how do you call the technique how the snare is played? Just snare roll?
I played in an orchestra pit 9 years ago for my college’s production of the Most Happy Fella, and we had a drum set member, and me who played every other percussion part, mostly timpani though. I had trouble quickly moving from my xylophone and timpani, and I wish I had a set up like yours with the smaller xylophone and 2 timpani, but I’m not as good at the quick tuning changes on the timpani haha. You did a great job, and I’m really impressed especially during the quick timpani tuning changes and the vibraphone solo in cool, I hope to learn that solo one day 😊
Love watching your In the heights videos! Must say, the drummer is very good too. Very controlled and in the pocket.
Great video! Thanks for sharing
GREAT VIDEO GRAZIE MILLE
the bongo sound is so crisp
Those conga parts are so clean 😌

This is so amazing and creative! 👌🏻🎶
Holy crap, played a gig with Joe Martone years back. I have NEVER had such a solid percussionist
Fantastic - I was wondering how there can be like 15 cans that all sound differently.....thanks!
Love your performance, man
If my percussion did this I would respect them, but instead they can’t even walk the parts when they have an extra person.
how in the-
What setup are you using for the Crotales?
I didn't know that I needed this until rn! We've missed this Joe
Love this Joe. Keep it up!
The very beginning part of this video will always remind me of January 2018
noice
What software are using to control the mallet station? Also how do you link it to the speakers? I’m a percussionist myself and absolutely love your work!
Wow this is great! Do you know where could I buy this arrangement for 1 player?
The accelerando is mind blowing for sight reading - incredible as always!
What are the mallets you used for Suspended Cymbal?
Do you arrange your parts yourself? I feel like they sound more like they were written by a percussionist than a composer
I finally discovered what that triangle thing is called! It’s called The Miller Machine! Definitely wanna get one someday!
What kind of Triangle is that at 6:47??
sheet music?
Bro you and the kit held that stuff together. Claves (the instrument specifically, not the clave rhythm) not totally in sync with everything gives me a mild panic attack, so I'd struggle with that section for sure (but I'm not a percussionist)
your back and forth during america is so cool... makes me really wanna do percussion!
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I know it’s not that complicated but the timpani glisses are 👌
Hello Mr Martone. I have been a fan of your work for a long time. I am curious as to the following: What spatulas are you using, and is the leather cover on your snare drum a commercially available product, or is it a borrowed leather jacket? You introduced me to the Miller Machine in late 2019, and I was fortunate enough to be able to meet Mr. Miller late last year. Cannot wait to see what you have in store for 2024. Best of luck, and cheers!
where do you find gigs like this?
Grazie per aver pubblicato questo video stupendo
Thank you for sharing this! My 12-year-old started playing percussion this school year. She and I had a blast watching this video.
No rehearsing and nursing our part, we know every part by heart 🙂
Wow! I played Neville Craven a year ago! Magical show!
This seems fun (and a bit stressful). Great insight, thank you Joe!
Fantastic! love your videos, your west side story is still a go to
That is fracking insane. I hope you get paid for doing the work of 10 people. The labor union should look into this. This seems more difficult than flying the Harrier jet.
Wow Joe, I didn’t realize the kind of terror you guys go through. That change in the beginning from mallets to drum set was intense. Really terrific playing man!
Ever since I discovered west side story: percussionist's perspective, I find myself coming back again and again to see different videos of yours, especially west side story and the see you tomorrow snare playthrough from how to train your dragon
Bravo!
This vid makes me miss band
Yo where do i find the transcriptsion of this
